Has Stardock ever considered making customization software for Apple's platforms?
DesktopX for example would be great if I could put gadgets into Apple's world
Good question.
Apple has a nasty habit of breaking backwards compatibility with every version of their OS. For desktop customization utilities who need to dig deep into the OS, this would be a nightmare.
Apple likes to keep control of the UI on OS X, that's why you don't see any customization apps for it.
Besides, Apple invented everything first, so they should have this already.
Apple may have invented everything but we invent something and that IMO is more betterer.
Or, perhaps, Stardock might consider buying or hiring an OS X customization house already working
on the problem I like to call "Decent and Useful OS X Desktop UI Configuration Utilities" [or, rather, the almost complete lack thereof...]
Having been a Stardock customer since the late '90s on Windows, It would be very nice to use it, or a similar
application, on OS 10.7.3 and later versions on Apple PCs, along with other Intlel-Based PCs.
BTW, when will we see a beta product for Windows 8?
